Bowl of Hygeia

The 2008 recipient of the Bowl of Hygeia for British Columbia was awarded to Anil Ram

The Bowl of Hygeia Award is an award given by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals to recognize pharmacists who have provided outstanding community service, as nominated by their pharmaceutical associations. The award was first given in Iowa in 1958. From there, it expanded to cover all 50 US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and all 10 provinces of Canada.

Anil Ram has been heavily involved in charity work since opening his first pharmacy in 1984 in Parksville. That strong commitment to the community remains true today through his new store – Rx Ram Pharmacy Specialists in Nanaimo. Outlined below are some the past charity events for which the Pharmacy profession recognized Anil by awarding him the Bowl of Hygeia.
